Rangers chief Robertson in no doubt over racism claims after seeing ‘video recordings’

Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson is in no doubt over what was said to Glen Kamara in the recent clash between the Gers and Slavia Prague.

Ondrej Kudela said something to Kamara in the late stages of the game and the Gers midfielder claims it was racist.

Slavia and Kudela insist that nothing untoward was said but Robertson is in no doubt over what happened after looking at video recordings of the incident.

“You could tell by the reaction of Glen Kamara and Bongani Zungu that something horrific had been said,” Robertson told Sky Sports.

“I think to try and deny or deflect, I’m in absolutely no doubt about what happened having seen video recordings.”

Most of us have seen the footage of Zungu claiming that Kamara was called a ‘monkey’ but this sounds as if Robertson may have seen other footage that hasn’t been released to the public.

There is bound to be some material from the Ibrox cameras and microphones that UEFA will have been sent in the aftermath of the game.

Not only to prove the racism allegation but to shed light on the assault allegations that Slavia have levelled at Kamara.

There is a lot of allegation throwing at the moment but the race issue has rightly dominated the headlines and continues to spark debates on social media.

Of course Stewart is going to come out in defence of a member of the Rangers side but this statement makes it seem like he almost has proof.

This is still an alleged racism charge with no real evidence other than what Kamara and Zungu have said tied with the fact that Kudela saw it appropriate to cover his mouth when he spoke.

Hopefully there is some concrete evidence lying around somewhere and UEFA have access to it because we can’t let racism thrive in football.

In other Rangers news, we can expect an update in the racism case against Slavia Prague after an update on Monday.
