Rangers can expect update in case against Kudela after major Monday development
Rangers can expect some developments in Glen Kamara’s case against Ondrej Kudela now the player is back on UK soil.
Kudela initially wasn’t going to travel to Wales for Cezch Republic’s World Cup qualifier but clearly, he had a change of heart over the last few days as he joined his international teammates on Monday.
Kudela is accused of racially abusing Kamara in the late stages of our Europa League tie against Slavia Prague two weeks ago.
There are a lot of allegations flying around with very little said through official statements by either club or representatives of the players.
One thing we do have is a statement from Aamer Anwar & Co, the law firm representing Kamara in his case against Kudela.
In that statement, it is stated, “Police Scotland officers are now expected to question Kudela when he returns next month on the 8th April, to England to play Arsenal.”
At that point, it was unknown if Kudela would by coming to the UK to play Wales.
Now he’s here, wouldn’t it make sense for Police Scotland to get the answers they desperately need instead of waiting another week or so?
Surely there will be some sort of update in the coming days or Kamara’s lawyers must be asking why the police didn’t speak to Kudela despite him being in the UK.
If they are willing to speak to him whilst he’s in London then surely they’d be willing to speak to him in Wales?
Unfortunately, very little looks to be being done on the surface with Gers fans desperate for answers as the fallout from the Slavia match continues to bring up more information.
We know that an investigation from UEFA is currently underway but we have had no update on how that’s going and who is being spoken to.
We will get answers in the end, we just hope an investigation gets to the bottom of what went down two weeks ago.
In other Rangers news, there is now a second allegation of racism from the Slavia game.
