Super Computer predicts unbeaten season for Rangers and tips a win over Celtic

A supercomputer predicts Rangers to remain unbeaten this season and suggests they are likely to beat Celtic in May.

FiveThirtyEight have used their Club Soccer Predictions model to test the possible outcome of the Scottish Premiership season, via the Daily Record.

As well as going invincible, the software details that the Gers have a 54% chance of beating Celtic when the sides meet in a few weeks.

Rangers

That would mean five consecutive unbeaten matches for Rangers in the Old Firm, a run that will no doubt delight every Bear.

Invincibles?

Staying unbeaten would be a remarkable way to cap off a memorable season and we are confident of completing the feat.

The only concern for us would be the distraction of the Scottish Cup, as Steven Gerrard will be eager to add that to his league title win.

Reaching the latter stages of the cup could increase fatigue in a squad that has already played a huge amount of football this season.

Rangers

Hopefully the international break has allowed most of our players to relax and recoup so they are ready to go again from next week.

Celtic are the only big challenge left in the league but we looked comfortable against them last weekend.

We will have James Tavernier back fit soon as well as Ryan Jack and that will make us even tougher to beat.

Thrashing Celtic would be a great way to round off the season but we would be grateful for a draw if it ensures an unbeaten campaign.
