Rangers’ Hagi and Slavia’s Stanciu share a laugh despite looming UEFA racism investigation

A Journalist has shared a video of Rangers’ Ianis Hagi training with Slavia Prague’s Nicolae Stanciu while on international duty.

There is a fair amount of tension between Rangers and Slavia at the moment with both sides accusing the other of things that shouldn’t ever be seen or heard on a football pitch.

It appears there is no bad blood between the two players as they trained ahead of busy two weeks of international football.

Emanuel Rosu shared the video of Hagi and Stanciu passing the ball to each other on his Twitter account.

He accompanied the video with the comment, “Rangers vs Slavia all over again. Ianis Hagi and Nicolae Stanciu having fun in Romania’s training tonight.”

While there is nothing sinister in the video, it may not sit right with some fans after the events of last week.

There is no chance that the players haven’t discussed last week’s scenes while away on international duty.

Hagi needs to be careful here.

The Czech club threw its weight behind Ondrej Kudela after he was accused of racially abusing Hagi’s teammate Glen Kamara.

There was also a lot said by other Slavia players and Hagi can’t be too pleased about that.

Having said that, Hagi smiles repeatedly in the video so he’s clearly not bothered about how this may be viewed.

There is a certain sense of Hagi fraternising with the enemy here and we’re sure some Gers fans would rather he kept his distance from Stanciu until this matter is resolved.

Of course, he can’t avoid his international teammate forever but he should’ve thought about how it might look if he was pictured working individually and having a laugh with a Slavia player.

In other Rangers news, Keith Hackett insists Slavia should be kicked out of the Europa League.
