Hagi reportedly eyes summer exit as Serie A and PL clubs watch Rangers ace – report

Lazio are monitoring Rangers ace Ianis Hagi with the Italian club’s sporting director a big fan of the attacker, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi.

Lazio chief Igli Tare was reportedly monitoring the Gers attacker before he made his permanent switch to Ibrox after a successful loan spell.

The Italian side are expecting departures in the summer and this could lead to Le Aquile making a move for the Romanian.

Rangers

La Lazio Siamo Noi claim that no contact has been made between Rangers and Lazio at this stage but that could change this summer if Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira doesn’t make his loan move permanent.

The outlet also reports that Hagi is valued at around £8.5million and is being monitored by a number of Premier League clubs.

There is also a claim that Hagi wants to ‘take off’ and play his football at a bigger club but this is not backed up in the report.

Rangers

Hagi has had an odd season.

He started the campaign well before falling off completely and even requesting to play for Romania’s under 21 side to regain some confidence.

As a full international this was highly irregular but over the festive period and in the early months of 2021 he has been back to his best.

The winger has three goals in his last six Scottish Premiership games and it is not surprising to see one of our talents linked with a move abroad.

We could face a fight to keep hold of Hagi if this report is indeed true and several Premier League sides want one of our key attackers.

The club may find it hard to turn down a bid of around £8.5million as that would represent a decent return on the fee that was paid for Hagi last summer.

Many of our players are bound to be linked with moves away this summer after such an impressive season and we hope the club can convince them to stay.
