Ian Durrant: Rangers squad were delighted for Alfredo Morelos after Celtic clash
Ian Durrant has claimed that every single Rangers player was delighted for Alfredo Morelos after the Old Firm clash against Celtic.
The Colombian finally got his first goal against our fierce rivals on Sunday afternoon and celebrated in usual style in front of the cameras.
Durrant was joined by Derek Ferguson in praising the Bears squad, and the perfect ending by Morelos finding the back of the net.
Speaking to the Blues Brothers Podcast on Monday evening, Durrant insisted that it was great to see the passion on show for Morelos.
“You could see the players after he scored,” he said.
“The delight, every single one of them ran over to him, and it was great to see that, the unity.
“The manager has created that again, you can see it every time they go out and pull on the blue jersey.”
Everything about this goal was simply incredible.
From the timing of Morelos to arrive at the back post and score, to Scott Brown not being able to name the Colombian in his post-match interview.
After years of torment on and off the pitch from Celtic in general, whether towards Morelos or even after each defeat, the Bears have finally received the last laugh.
It is only going to get better as well.
We can’t wait for the moment when Morelos lifts the Scottish Premiership title above his head after the final game against Aberdeen, it’s just a shame it wasn’t at Celtic.
Morelos is at the heart of everything, and he is still going to play a huge part between now and the end of the season.
