Ibrox View: Predicted Rangers starting XI in Old Firm clash v Celtic

Rangers travel to Parkhead this afternoon looking to complete the domestic treble over Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bears have already sealed six points over their fierce rivals, scoring three goals and not having conceded yet despite the last outing not being exactly convincing.

Steven Gerrard will want his side to put the Slavia Praha controversies behind them as soon as possible, with this one of the biggest games on the calendar.

Allan McGregor will continue between the sticks, despite having his first off-night nearly all season against Prague on Thursday.

The back four will see one change, with Nathan Patterson dropping out through injury and Filip Helander coming into the defence.

That will see Leon Balogun move along to right-back after his shocker in the Europa League, and Borna Barisic will complete the defence on the left.

The midfield will all depend on the well-being of Glen Kamara, and we are basing this on the assumption that he will be taken out of the spotlight.

Rangers

Steven Davis will play in the holding role, and that will allow Joe Aribo and Scott Arfield to both free-roam and push forward to cause serious problems to the Celtic defence.

Ianis Hagi starred in the last Old Firm, and he will start out wide opposite Ryan Kent who is getting better as the season continues after his little blip midway through.

Alfredo Morelos will be looking to finally break his Old Firm duck, and this is the perfect chance for him to do just that.

Kemar Roofe will have been pushing for a start, but his red card for a reckless challenge will almost guarantee that he is on the bench once again.

Let’s finish this season with a bang, here’s how we expect the Bears to line up…
