Steven Gerrard shows wild side in Ibrox dressing room celebrations on Saturday
Rangers players and staff were delirious with joy on Saturday and Steven Gerrard exploded with relief in the dressing room.
He has spent three years filled with stress and worry and he finally released that pent up energy after the Gers beat St.Mirren.
There were wild scenes in the Ibrox dressing room at full-time, and a video has emerged of the gaffer sliding across a beer-soaked dressing room.
Other images have emerged of beer arriving at the ground in a special delivery, and it seems everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Celebrations continued at training on Monday with multiple ’55’ banners on show.
However, with a huge game against Slavia Prague those celebrations will have to be cut short, and it is likely Gerrard has got everyone’s attention back on the football.
Party time
There were brilliant scenes in and outside of Ibrox on Saturday and they have been a long time coming.
We are delighted for everyone involved and they all deserve this after their efforts this season.
To go unbeaten and play some of the football we have is just outstanding, and Gerrard can do whatever he likes for all we care.
However, knowing his professionalism it is likely most of the celebrations will be put on hold.
It would be brilliant to continue our success by progressing in Europe – that could lead to more scenes like we saw on the weekend.
We can also use the remaining Premiership matches to celebrate and unwind while ensuring we remain undefeated.
Our next match, against Celtic, provides a brilliant opportunity to gloat about our victory – winning at Celtic Park would also be the perfect way to cap a memorable season.
In other Rangers news, a big update from journalist Fabrizio Romano could have severe repercussions for Stevie G.
