Steven Gerrard was sent off at half-time as Rangers won 1-0 against Livingston at Almondvale on Wednesday night.

In the first half, Alfredo Morelos was booked for simulation by referee John Beaton after he went down in the penalty area.

However, replays clearly show that Livi goalkeeper Max Stryjek made contact with the striker’s leg.

Gerrard stormed onto the pitch at half time and Sky Sports’ microphones caught the Rangers manager saying: “You’re not speaking to me?

“I know why you’re not speaking to me – because you’re f***ing bang wrong. Bang out of order.”

Rangers

Control.

Gerrard lost the plot at half time and we can understand why.

Beaton disgracefully booked Morelos when it was clear the Gers striker was fouled by the Livingston goalkeeper.

Even those who regularly show they’re anti-Rangers, like Andy Walker, have admitted it was a penalty for Rangers and that Beaton got his decision wrong.

Gerrard lost control.

We don’t want to see the manager getting sent off but we do want to see him showing his anger when things are not going in our favour.

Gerrard could have easily taken to the pitch to demonstrate with Beaton without getting sent off but swearing at him perhaps took it over the mark.

It was odd to see Beaton initially book Gerrard.

He brandished a yellow card on the pitch but about five seconds later, when the manager had already walked away and was heading for the tunnel, the second yellow was shown.

It’s odd but everything should come to fruition soon.

In other Rangers news, this Gers star has featured in a new Pespi advert alongside Lionel Messi.
