Derek Ferguson predicts Rangers clash v Livingston
Derek Ferguson has predicted there will only be “one winner” as Rangers travel to take on Livingston on Wednesday evening.
The Bears are within touching distance of the Scottish Premiership, and one slip from Celtic could send the silverware to Ibrox with another three points here.
Ferguson claims there is “no chance” that the Livingston defence can contain the Gers electric front-three, who are currently in outstanding form in all competitions.
Speaking on the Blues Brothers Podcast, Ferguson claimed that some of the Livi squad will still be suffering from the hangover of their cup final defeat.
“Did you see the reaction of some of the Livingston boys? They were absolutely devastated,” he said.
“I think it will be so difficult for them to pick themselves up, they’ve had a wee slump, but what they’re coming up against is a different animal on Wednesday night.
“Talking about that front three, are Livingston going to be able to cope with that? No chance, if we’re at it, there’s only going to be one winner.”
Ferguson is spot on, this will have been the last game that Livingston wanted after their disappointment at Hampden Park over the weekend.
Steven Gerrard’s men have also had a rare rest over the weekend and will be desperate to get back out onto the pitch in this brilliant form.
Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos are untouchable at this moment in time, and their demolition job on Royal Antwerp has set them up perfectly to dismantle Livingston.
They may just sit back and hope for the best, but you need more than that to beat the Bears.
