Michael Owen claims Rangers will have an easier time of it against Royal Antwerp in tonight’s Europa League knockout second leg.

The Gers came out victorious in last week’s first leg with goals from Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent and a Borna Barisic brace securing a dramatic 4-3 win.

Owen is predicting a more low key affair this evening with Steven Gerrard’s side looking to progress in Europe once again.

While doing his predictions for BetVictor, Owen tipped the Gers defence to secure a European clean sheet after conceding three last time out.

He said, “I can see Rangers having a slightly more comfortable 2-0 win at home against Antwerp after their epic match in the first leg.”

This would be a welcome result for Gerrard after such an end to end game last week though we’re sure any positive result would be accepted with open arms by the Gers boss.

Rangers

Gers fans won’t care what the score is as long as Rangers are in the hat for the next stage of the Europa League.

We can really focus on a strong European run now we are so close to the title and considering our form at the minute, any team who plays us at Ibrox will have to be second favourites.

A clean sheet is what Gerrard will be after following last week’s bad night for the defence as achieving this will boost some confidence among the backline as well as secure progression.

We have a huge advantage with the three away goals so as long as we don’t concede an early goal we should have enough to keep Antwerp out.

The Belgians will be out for revenge though and they know they can hurt us, we are all set for a dramatic night under the lights at Ibrox.

In other Rangers news, Joe Aribo has been blown away by two of his Gers teammates.
