Tam McManus was awestruck by the performance of Rangers playmaker Joe Aribo in the 4-1 victory against Dundee United on Sunday.
The former Charlton man fired in an unstoppable drive into the top corner at Ibrox and was the standout figure in the comprehensive win.
McManus labelled Aribo as “outstanding” as he was at the heart of everything positive from the home side as they charge towards 55.
Speaking on PLZ Soccers’ The Football Show on Monday, McManus showered the Bears playmaker in massive praise.
“Aribo was at the heart of everything,” he said.
“Even the first two goals, he was the heart of them, playing balls in and the third goal, top corner, great strike with his left foot.
“I thought he was outstanding.”
Aribo was incredible on Sunday.
Dundee United started the game very dangerously, but it was Aribo who grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and made sure that they couldn’t continue that dominance past the first quarter of the clash.
The 24-year-old was everywhere, having three shots on goal, completing one key pass and three dribbles according to WhoScored – he was simply unplayable.
Gerrard was delighted by the form of Aribo, and the Bears boss will only continue to help him improve in that midfield role with his knowledge of bursting into the final third.
This was another snapshot of his qualities, and we can only imagine how much better he is going to get with more and more playing time.
