Many Rangers fans have reacted to the news that Kemar Roofe has been handed a two-game ban by the SFA for a poor challenge on St Johnstone’s Murray Davidson.
The SFA decided that Roofe’s challenge constituted serious foul play and as such the player will miss our next two games.
Rangers appealed the charge but this objection appears to have fallen on deaf ears with Roofe set to miss games against Kilmarnock and Dundee United.
This means we will be without Roofe and Alfredo Morelos for our game against Kilmarnock as the Colombian serves the final game of his three-match suspension.
We should still have enough to beat Killie but we will be seriously lacking upfront as Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe may be trusted to score the vital goals.
There has been a major outbreak of anger fired towards the SFA by Rangers fans following the decision to charge Roofe and it is easy to see why.
Much of this anger stems from the inconsistency in the SFA’s ruling which follows their decision to not charge Celtic’s Albian Ajeti with a clear dive earlier this week.
Many Gers fans were furious with the ruling but a fair few admitted that they weren’t surprised as these are the kind of decisions that they now expect from the SFA.
It seems that if you wear blue and are cited by the SFA, then you have no chance of a successful appeal.
Here is how some Rangers fans reacted to the news that Roofe has been banned for two games.
Roofe handed a 2 match ban. Well colour me surprised. I thought the compliance officer was there for incidents missed by the referee. When did that change?

The Roofe decision is a disgrace although comes as no surprise. This is the 2nd incident now this season where they are re-refereeing games when Rangers players are concerned. Both incidents dealt with on the park with a yellow. Fail to see how the ref can say he’s not seen.

Shocking but expected decision regarding Roofe…..How did they prove it a was malicious challenge? When they couldn’t prove Ajeti dived?????????

Unreal – 2 match ban for Kemar @roofe …..absolute joke….

Ajeti get away with a clear dive due to “lack of evidence” despite the game being live on television with multiple camera angles. But Roofe gets a 2 game ban for a challenge that had already been dealt with by the ref during the game.
How can they say they’re on our side man

The biggest gripe with Roofe’s ban is the number of challenges that are similar in nature that don’t get cited and barely warrant a mention on the likes of Sportscene, Sky etc. The current system is completely flawed and so are those idiots running it.

As expected. 2 match ban for Roofe. Shows the @ScottishFA up for what they are. Compliant in their corrupt behaviour. Our best reaction is to wrap the league up as quickly as possible and disengage with the powers that be at every opportunity except where contracted. Disgrace.

If you expected anything other than a ban for Roofe, where have you been #corrupt
