‘Rotten’, ‘Useless’, ‘Go up the road’ – Some Rangers fans blast one player at HT v Hamilton
Bongani Zungu has handed his first Premiership start for Rangers on Sunday but the midfielder failed to impress a lot of fans on Twitter in the first half.
Since his arrival on loan from Amiens in October, Zungu has been in and out of Steven Gerrard’s side, mainly coming off the bench as a substitute to help see games out.
In all competitions, the 28-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Gers but the jury is definitely still out on a player who is yet to win a permanent contract at Ibrox.
And if this section of Rangers fans had a choice to make on Zungu in the summer then it’s unlikely that his loan deal will be made into a permanent one.
Gerrard’s men were so sluggish in their first-half performance on the plastic pitch at Hamilton.
Ryan Jack and Steven Davis have been sat on the bench, watching the midfield struggle to create anything really worth talking about.
Zungu’s broke down a couple of Hamilton attacks and played one or two nice passes but does he look like a gamechanger in the same way Jack and Davis has shown this season? Absolutely not.
One Gers fan claims that the club has “better players in the youth teams” than Zungu while another fails to rate the midfielder at all.

Gerrard has to change something soon and fingers need to be pointed at the midfield and attacking players.
There’s very little cohesion between the middle of the park and the final third with Hamilton having very little to trouble them in the opening 45 minutes.
Zungu is very much someone we’d expect to see hooked off at half-time or early in the second half so that Jack can come on.
In other Rangers news, this journalist has hit out over claims about Kemar Roofe.
