‘Unplayable’, ‘Different animal’ – Many Bears blown away by ‘Tremendous’ ace in 1-0 win

Rangers endured a frustrating night in their 1-0 victory against St Johnstone on Wednesday evening.

Steven Gerrard welcomed back Kemar Roofe and Ianis Hagi into his starting XI at Ibrox, although they went into the break goalless.

That meant Glen Kamara was on the bench, something that raised many eyebrows and left the Bears with little driving force in the middle of the park.

Joe Aribo was handed more responsibility, and he snatched his chance with both hands.

The playmaker was one of the only one to leave this one with praise with his creativity causing constant problems for St Johnstone.

Roofe missed numerous chances in the clash, and that will have been to the annoyance of Aribo, who could have had a handful of assists in the game.

It has been a real breakthrough season for the 24-year-old, who has really cemented his spot in this side as they charge towards 55.

No one completed more dribbles on the pitch than Aribo according to WhoScored, as he was a constant thorn in the side of St Johnstone.

Rangers

Many Rangers fans have reacted to the performance of Aribo, and it is fair to say that they were delighted with what they saw from the former Charlton man.

The majority of them were blown away by his creativity, claiming that he came out a “different animal” at Ibrox this evening.
