‘Brilliant’, ‘Smashing it out the park’: Some Bears loving official Gers post on SFA controversy
Rangers have kept up their pressure on the SFA with yet another call for consistency after Scott Brown got away with an elbow on Kilmarnock’s Aaron Tshibola.
That follows Alfredo Morelos getting a three-match ban for a stamp on Hibernian’s Ryan Porteous.
That means Morelos won’t play in the game against St Johnstone tonight and it’s the latest in a long line of decisions by the SFA that seem to go against Rangers and Morelos in particular.
Rangers posted a tweet after the Celtic game last night saying “Consistency” and accompanied a quote from Gerrard’s press conference.
It’s not the first time they’ve done it and Gers fans want them to keep it up until things change.
Gerrard said, “I think that is what every manager wants – a level of consistency and for every player or every incident to be judged in the same way so we find that level of consistency.”
That throws the gauntlet down at the SFA after referee Kevin Clancy took no action against Scott Brown last night.
It’s obvious that Brown should be punished retrospectively, in the same way Morelos has.
That would be the right thing to do but we’re not holding out much hope.
Brown is seemingly held to different standards and has got away with incidents of violent conduct before.
It’s not the first time Rangers have tweeted this out and, sadly, it probably won’t be the last.
These Rangers fans are loving the stance being taken by the club…
