‘Double standards stink’, ‘Shambles’ – Many Bears react as Morelos ban confirmed by SFA

Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has been handed another three-game ban after accepting his violent conduct charge against Hibernian.

El Buffalo was spotted stamping on Hibs defender Ryan Porteus in the 1-0 win on Wednesday, although it went unpunished at the time.

The BBC have shared that the Bears have also accepted the charge handed to the striker who scored the winner at Easter Road.

Rangers

This isn’t the first charge this season.

Morelos has already served a two-game ban for his elbow against Dundee, totalling his absences up to five games this season.

Rangers are yet to receive a red card in the Scottish Premiership, but it could have been a totally different story if Morelos was caught in the act.

Darren McGregor also appeared to stand on Glen Kamara in the same game, but no action looks set to be taken on that incident moving forward.

Morelos will now miss games against St Johnstone, Hamilton and Kilmarnock as they charge towards 55.

Rangers

Many Rangers fans have reacted to the news, and most of them believed that it was worth it against Porteus, who has become a well-known Ibrox villain.

The majority admitted that the double standards of the SFA have been clear to see though, with the spotlight appearing to shine brighter on incidents including Rangers.
