Gers fans loving chaos as manager resigns after board sign Celtic 24yo he didn’t want
André Villas-Boas announced his resignation today after the Marseille board signed Olivier Ntcham from Celtic when he didn’t want him.
It was a chaotic press conference as Villas-Boas said, “I just want to leave Marseille. I am not asking anything else from the board.”
Big Marseille media figure Mohammed Ali said, “This is up there with the night Bielsa upped and left. Extraordinary.”
It comes after Marseille signed Olivier Ntcham from Celtic in a deadline-day deal.
He’s not going to be a popular player with the fans either after an interview was uncovered where he declared his love for Ligue 1 rivals PSG.

Celtic have had a chaotic season that’s descended into farce over the recent ‘warm-weather training camp’ in Dubai.
That’s seen questions asked by Nicola Sturgeon and chief executive Peter Lawwell announce his retirement while Neil Lennon digs in and refuses to go.
Celtic are 23 points behind Rangers in the Premiership and out of Europe after finishing bottom of their group.
Ntcham must have thought he’d left the chaos behind him but it looks like he’s taken it with him and jumped out of the frying pan and straight into a fire.
He had made 23 appearances for Celtic and only managed one goal and two assists.
Villas-Boas must have been watching him play.
Ntcham has joined Marseille on a loan deal with a £4.5m option but it’s safe to say that his first day at work hasn’t gone entirely to plan.
However, we can sympathise with Villas-Boas. Who would want any of the current crop of Celtic players in their side?
These Rangers fans were absolutely loving it and it’s brightened our day up, too.
