Reported Rangers signing will not join this month, loan deal agreed – report

Nnamdi Ofoborh will not join Rangers this month, instead he will head on loan to Wycombe Wanderers for the rest of the season, according to The Athletic’s Jordan Campbell

Bournemouth midfielder Ofobroh is yet to be announced as a Rangers signing but he is expected to sign a pre-contract agreement with the club on deadline day.

There were hopes earlier this month that Ofoborh may move to Ibrox in January to boost Steven Gerrard’s midfield options but that is no longer the case.

On Monday, Campbell tweeted, “Nnamdi Ofoborh is finalising a loan move to Wycombe Wanderers until the end of the season.

“The Bournemouth midfielder will join Rangers in the summer when his pre-contract kicks in but for now he is returning to where spent last season on loan.”

As we said, Ofoborh is not yet announced as a Rangers player but that announcement is expected at some point today.

Ofoborh will join his current teammate Jack Simpson in the summer as the defender has also agreed a pre-contract deal with the Gers.

Scott Wright of Aberdeen has agreed a similar deal but as it stands it does not look like any of the three players will be moving to Ibrox this month.

This means the club will be boosted by three new signings as soon as the preparations begin for next season which may give them an edge over rivals who are behind on their transfer business.

Hopefully, Ofoborh will continue to impress back at Wycombe so he is in the best possible form when he joins us later this year.
