Ibrox View: Kris Boyd Instagram post sums up how many Rangers fans are feeling right now

Celtic fell to another defeat on Saturday and Kris Boyd took to Instagram to share the joy he felt as a Rangers fan.

It is Celtic’s third league loss of the season and means Rangers maintain their 23-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership, having played two games more.

It is not the first time Boyd has mocked his old foe, with the Sky Sports pundit also joyous when Celtic drew with Livingston earlier this month.

Celtic fans have likely grown sick of his antics, but Bears will be hoping he continues to upset the other half of Glasgow.

Boyd’s message for his followers to enjoy their night was likely reciprocated by large numbers of Rangers fans, who must be beginning to feel that number 55 is on its way.

After all, Steven Gerrard’s men continue to overcome every opponent they face.

By the time our next game rolls around, on Wednesday, there could be another result to celebrate, as Celtic take on Kilmarnock before then.

Some supporters may be hoping for a Celtic win on Tuesday, however, as if both Old Firm teams win their next six league games it will set-up a momentous showdown at Celtic Park.

Should that happen Rangers would have the chance to win the title in the Bhoys backyard, as a win would take them beyond the all-important 92-point mark.

Given Celtic’s form that seems unlikely, but more dropped points decreases the likelihood of ten in a row, and that’s why Boyd cannot contain himself.

To have the title won by March or even February could also allow us to concentrate on our Europa League campaign, so there is more than one reason to be buoyant at Celtic’s unraveling.
