‘Actually laughable’, ‘Farcical circus’ – Many Rangers fans call SFA Morelos charge ‘utter joke’
Many Rangers fans have reacted to the news that Alfredo Morelos has been charged with violent conduct by the Scottish FA.
Morelos faces a three-match ban after the SFA decided that the forward’s ‘stamp’ on Hibernian’s Ryan Porteous constituted violent conduct.
Rangers have until Monday to respond to the charge as Steven Gerrard may be losing Morelos just as he started to find his form.
Further anger was whipped up among the Gers fanbase as it was revealed that Hibs’ Darren McGregor would not be facing further punishment for a similar incident involving Glen Kamara.
Morelos does seem to be cited more often than other players in the Scottish Premiership but he has a reputation that he doesn’t do anything about fixing.
There have been numerous occasions this season when Morelos should have been cited by the SFA and it is hard to argue against most of them.
The anger stems from these decisions only applying to Morelos when other players from other clubs do similar things but get no punishment.
It is a very serious accusation to say that the SFA have an agenda against Morelos but he does seem to be ticked off more than anyone else.
At least that is how it appears to some Rangers fans as some took to social media to label the SFA as corrupt.
Another fan called the SFA a facial circus as many expressed their disbelief over the decision to not charge McGregor.
Here is how some Rangers fans react to the charge.
In other Rangers news, many Gers fans have blasted Irvine Welsh after he defended his Morelos comments on Twitter.
