Ryan Jack starts, Hagi on bench – Confirmed Rangers starting XI v Hibernian

Rangers have made one change to their starting XI for the Scottish Premiership clash with Hibernian on Wednesday.

Steven Gerrard has decided to bring Ryan Jack in from the start after he returned from injury in the past week.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Bears have dropped Ianis Hagi from their side, pushing Joe Aribo further forward into the front three.

Rangers were handed numerous boosts in the past week.

Both Jack and Kemar Roofe returned to the squad for the 5-0 thrashing of Ross County to help them prepare for the trip to Easter Road.

The midfielder came on midway through the second half and even managed to find the back of the net, but Roofe had to settle for a spectating seat on the bench.

Gerrard confirmed through the week that both have recovered from their mid-season problems, with only Scott Arfield and Nikola Katic to return.

The Canadian should be back before the end of February and could be available for the return of the Europa League against Royal Antwerp.

Rangers

Hibernian have undoubtedly given Rangers their hardest games this season.

Jack Ross will have his side well-drilled regardless of their poor run of form which resulted in the 3-0 defeat against St Johnstone in the League Cup semi-finals last weekend.

Rangers are currently 23 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, and with Celtic playing tonight and one of their games-in-hand over the weekend, Gerrard will be determined to keep that gap.
