‘Absolute caviar’, ‘Wonderful’ – Many Rangers fans hail ‘Genius’ after win v Hibernian

Rangers managed to battle their way to a 1-0 victory in the Scottish Premiership against Hibernian on Wednesday evening.

It was a tough clash at Easter Road, with an early second-half strike from Alfredo Morelos enough to earn all three points for the Bears.

Steven Gerrard will have been delighted with the goal, with his side showing the class needed to unlock a stubborn defence on a shocking pitch.

Rangers

Joe Aribo was influential in most things good in the final third.

His role in the goal summed that all up. After impressive passes from the likes of Steven Davis, Aribo showed great awareness just to flick the ball around the corner to send Morelos through on goal to finish.

With Ianis Hagi being dropped for Ryan Jack, the former Charlton man was pushed further forward into the front three and he got his rewards for that with the assist.

Aribo has shown he can do it all in recent weeks.

His goal against Ross County at the weekend was phenomenal, managing to curl the ball from the tightest of angles into the top corner.

The confidence will be at an all-time high for the playmaker, and he continues to prove it on a weekly basis for the Bears.

Many Rangers fans have reacted to the performance of Aribo on Wednesday, with most of them delighted with what they saw.

The majority singled out his role in the Morelos goal, with his flick described by some as “genius” as he continues to make that playmaker role his own.
