Andy Walker predicts Rangers clash v Hibernian, claims Gerrard could make key change
Andy Walker has backed Rangers to pick up another three points in the Scottish Premiership clash against Hibernian on Wednesday.
The Sky Sports pundit has predicted that the Bears will win 2-1 at Easter Road, with both sides coming into this one on the back of differing results.
Hibernian lost their League Cup semi-final with St Johnstone, whereas Rangers destroyed Ross County, scoring five goals at Ibrox.
Writing in his Sky Sports predictions column, Walker claimed that both Kemar Roofe and Ryan Jack could start after their returns.
“When you’re up against a side that have conceded just seven league goals and scored 66, you know you’ll be tested for 90 minutes,” he said.
“Steven Gerrard saw five different scorers in the five-goal win over Ross County at the weekend and knows that his side are another nine wins away from clinching the title.
“Ryan Jack is back to full fitness and scored a wonderful team goal at the weekend; the only other change may well be the return to action of Kemar Roofe in support of Alfredo Morelos.”
Gerrard has consistently told his squad to take it one game at a time this season, as they charge towards 55, and that attitude has worked perfectly.
A wounded side will be dangerous, and Hibernian will be desperate for a reaction after they missed out on a great chance to reach the League Cup final with a shocking display over the weekend.
Two of our toughest games this season have been against Hibs, and the game at the end of last month showed they could exploit the spaces left in-behind with the likes of Kevin Nisbet.
