Well, that didn’t take long.
Frank Lampard was sacked as Chelsea manager on Monday and he’s already been linked with the not-as-yet-vacant Celtic job.
Neil Lennon is currently hanging on there by a string despite being 23 points behind Rangers in the title race.
He’s had an arguably worse season than Frank at Chelsea, although fans of each club might like to argue that among themselves.
talkSPORT – who else – were the ones to put the two losers together and Rangers fans have reacted with hilarity to the news.
Lampard didn’t last long in his dream job.
Like Gerrard, he didn’t have much experience before he took the big challenge. Gerrard came from the Liverpool youth set-up, Lampard came from failing to get Derby promoted to the Premier League.
Both appointments were questioned but where Lampard has floundered, Gerrard has positively thrived.
He’s led Rangers to within sniffing distance of the title and left Celtic in a flap.
Could Celtic see Lampard as the new Gerrard? These Rangers hope so, with one saying “I can’t breathe” and some others just replying with laughing out loud emojis.
Meanwhile, it looks like Lennon will have to be dragged away from his desk after stating that he won’t quit from the job.
That’s great news as far as we’re concerned – the longer he stays there the better. If he does go, Lampard would be a funny successor.
