‘Unreal’, ‘Beast’ – These Bears wowed by ‘on fire’ player in first half v Ross County

Ryan Kent scored his sixth goal of the Premiership season as Rangers took an early lead against Ross County – and fans were delighted to see him break his barren streak.

Victory for the Gers today will open up a 23-point-gap between them and second-placed Celtic in what is Steven Gerrard’s 150th game in charge of the club.

An early goal was just the start the manager hoped for, as his side aim to get back to winning ways having drawn with Motherwell last time out.

And a victory is all but in the bag now with the half-time score at 3-0, with Filip Helander and Joe Aribo getting the second and third of the afternoon at Ibrox.

When they shift it up, Ross County have no answer, and the score could have been a lot more for the Gers. They won’t be looking forward to the second half.

Rangers

It was a rare-headed goal from Kent that gave the home side the lead.

James Tavernier threw a deep cross into the back post towards Alfredo Morelos who cushioned beautifully for Kent to cleverly lift a header over the despairing County keeper Laidlow.

Kent has been a huge player for Rangers since he signed but he was in a slump in front of goal.

This was his first in the Premiership since the end of November when he scored against Aberdeen.

Getting him back amongst the goals is brilliant for Rangers, who are homing in mercilessly on number 55.
