Joe Aribo admits Rangers squad ‘buzzing’ with major update ahead of Ross County clash
Joe Aribo has revealed that the Rangers squad are “buzzing” with the return to fitness of midfielder Ryan Jack this season.
The Scottish international has been missing since the 4-0 win over Aberdeen and added to Steven Gerrard’s headache with Scott Arfield also out.
Rangers confirmed that the 28-year-old was back in training, and will be back in the squad for the Saturday clash with Ross County.
Speaking to the press on Friday morning, Aribo admitted that the squad have been given a real boost by his return this week.
“The boys are buzzing to have Ryan Jack back in training and has been great to have him in with the group,” he said.
This is brilliant news.
It has handed Gerrard options in midfield, instead of having to rely on the likes of Steven Davis and Glen Kamara to play every single week.
Our exclusive pundit, Alex McLeish admitted that despite this boost, he expects that Jack will only be ready for a place on the bench at Ibrox.
Jack had started four games in a row before this latest injury blow, and it obviously affected that momentum.
Since then, Davis and Kamara have been incredible, and they fully deserve their spots in the side against Ross County.
Aribo has struggled recently, so if it was against a so-called harder side, it could have been him dropping out, but we expect Gerrard to be cautious – time will tell.
