‘He’s loving this’, ‘Can’t be stopped’ – These Rangers fans loving brutal Celtic dig from Boyd

Rangers took another step closer to title number 55 on Wednesday and Kris Boyd could barely contain his excitement.

Many Gers fans were delighted to see his enthusiasm after Celtic drew with Livingston once again, meaning they failed to take advantage of one of their games in hand.

Boyd was working as a pundit for Sky Sports on the night and took a jibe at the Bhoys and their recent difficulties.

He asked co-pundit and St. Mirren manager Jim Goodwin if he’d rather face the Celtic first-team or the reserves, since both sides could only manage a draw against Livingston.

Boyd couldn’t help but laugh as he said it, and many Rangers supporters have been chuckling along with him.

That is because Celtic were the masters of their own downfall.

Neil Lennon made the costly decision to take the squad to Dubai earlier this month, resulting in two players being infected with Covid-19.

That meant the Celtic boss and 13 of his squad had to isolate, so they missed the home fixture against Livingston last weekend.

There were six changes in the line-up last night but Celtic still couldn’t get anything out of the game.

It’s a fantastic dig from Boyd and Celtic fans can’t do anything but take it on the chin at the moment, with a huge 20-point gap at the top of the Premiership.

Here are some of the things fans have said in response to Boyd’s coverage on Wednesday.
