‘Self-anointed, self-entitled 10-in-a-row’: Simon Jordan savages Celtic fans as Gers close on 55
Simon Jordan has said that Celtic fans turning on Neil Lennon should take a “good look at themselves” after their own behaviour outside Parkhead.
He added that Rangers have done something that the Celtic fans just “can’t accept” in taking away their “self-anointed, self-entitled 10-in-a-row”.
Celtic are dominating the headlines again today for all the wrong reasons after Neil Lennon went on the attack in yesterday’s press conference.
He insisted Celtic had done nothing wrong by going to Dubai in comments that seemed to contradict his own chief executive Peter Lawwell.
Jim White was talking on talkSPORT (Tuesday, 10.30am) and ripped into Lennon, highlighting comments from Celtic fans after his press conference.
They ranged from “Lennon now needs to be taken out of the firing line,” to “Totally embarrassing” and “Completely dreadful… where’s the focus on our next game? We’re 21 points behind Rangers.”
Jordan ripped into the Celtic fans in his reply saying, “Celtic fans, talking about bringing the club into disrepute, they want to have a good look at themselves after throwing fireworks at the police outside Parkhead during the pandemic.
“Rangers eventually have got themselves together and have done something which the Celtic fans can’t accept, to stop them getting their self-anointed, self-entitled 10-in-a-row.”
Spot on from Jordan
Fantastic stuff from Jordan here, who absolutely hits the nail on the head.
It’s not just the club going to Dubai. It’s not just the mixed messages coming from Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell.
It’s not just the fans gathering to protest outside Parkhead during a pandemic. And it’s not just their ‘self-entitled’ 10-in-a-row that never really was and now never will be.
It’s not any of these things in isolation, it’s all of them together which shows a club in absolute disarray.
Lennon is talking about an agenda against Celtic and it just shows the arrogance of a club that’s too used to having things their own way.
Lennon can go down fighting if he wants but he’s losing the fans. If he loses the dressing room then his departure might come even sooner than the summer.
