‘Motherwell’s best player’, ‘Garbage’ – Some Rangers fans destroy outfielder display in 1-1 draw
Rangers fans have blasted winger Ryan Kent for his woeful performance in the 1-1 draw against Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday.
Kent, 24, was substituted off in the late stages of the match after having next to no impact in the Light Blues’ attack.
The former Liverpool attacker has now gone nine Premiership matches without a goal and has just two assists – which both came at Aberdeen last week – in his last six.
Kent just doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere near the action nor does he look as though he’s capable of creating anything that will trouble opposing teams.
Before kick-off on Sunday, Motherwell were bottom of the table. Bottom.
Based on the standings, they are the worst team in the Premiership yet Kent couldn’t even produce anything against them.
Kent had an electric start to the season but he has been very quiet for weeks on end now and it is getting to the point where Steven Gerrard must think about dropping him.
That is what some Rangers fans think anyway, with one describing the winger’s performance at Fir Park as “garbage“.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Scott Wright’s potential arrival at Ibrox this month could supply Kent with some much-needed competition in the Gers attack.
With Jordan Jones out of the picture, Kent doesn’t really have anyone breathing down his beck for his spot in Gerrard’s starting line-up so that is something that could help the ex-Liverpool man boost his performances.
Either way, we hope it happens soon.
We cannot have passengers on our way to title number 55 and at the moment, Kent is exactly that.
In other Rangers news, fans tore this “amateur” to shreds at half-time at Fir Park.
