‘Team’s been spanked all season’: McManus slams ’embarrassing’ Celtic fans for null & void shout

Tam McManus has slammed Celtic supporters for suggestions that the season should be declared ‘null and void’, with Rangers sitting 21 points clear at the top.

Amid the current outbreak of COVID-19, there has been suggestions that the season could be derailed, but McManus has hit back at those suggestions.

Speaking on PLZ Soccer’s, The Football Show, McManus hit out at any Hoops fans trying to overshadow Rangers’ success: “Rangers have won the league deservedly, whether the league gets called nulled and void or not.

“It is the same as last season when a lot of Rangers fans were calling for null and void, I was actually embarrassed for them.

“It is the same now for Celtic. Any Celtic supporters who are looking for null and void when their team’s been spanked all season by Rangers, to be honest, I think it is embarrassing.”

The show must go on for everyone

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has already made his feelings on the potential of a null and void season very clear.

Here at Ibrox News, we also agree with Stevie G, the show simply must go on, despite the current COVID outbreak.

The integrity of any league or cup competition would be questioned forevermore if the season was declared null and void.

Rangers

Jordan Jones and George Edmundson were banned for seven games after breaking COVID protocols earlier in the campaign, but since then, the Gers have appeared to follow the rules seamlessly.

The club should not be punished for that as they run away with the Premiership title this season.

Rangers, like many other teams up and down the country, have their own house in order when it comes to managing COVID and they do not deserve to have this opportunity taken away from them this season.
