Ibrox View: New data report shows Rangers are a bigger club than Celtic

New data from Google has confirmed the news we have suspected for some time, that Rangers are officially a bigger club than Celtic.

According to a report from the Daily Record, the Gers racked up more Google searches than Celtic over the last two months.

Rangers are now officially the ‘most search’ Scottish club as Steven Gerrard’s men charge towards the Premiership title this season.

It is claimed that the Gers were the most search club in countries such as France, India, China, the Netherlands, Colombia and Romania.

Attacking duo Ianis Hagi and Alfredo Morelos certainly appear to be proving valuable assets on and off the pitch for the club.

Throughout the entire 2020, Celtic clocked more searches than Rangers, but if the last two months are anything to go by, that could change in 2021.

Rangers

The fact that Rangers are now officially the bigger club on the web epitomises the contrasting fortunes that both teams have faced this season.

The Gers’ good form this season has coincided with Celtic’s demise this season, as Neil Lennon struggles to guide his team anywhere close to the level of Gerrard’s side.

Rangers are going from strength to strength and are leaving Celtic in their shadows, with the Gers now ranked as one of the most inform teams in Europe right now.

Rangers are currently placed fourth in WhoScored’s European form table, having not lost in their last six.

They sit top of the table for longest winning streaks around Europe and also the WhoScored performance table.

The performance table awards points based off results, goals scored and goals conceded, with the Premiership leaders narrowly ahead of Serbian giants FK Crvena Zvezda.
