View: Hagi starts in two major changes – Rangers predicted starting XI v Aberdeen

Rangers travel to Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon looking to continue their incredible run in the Scottish Premiership.

This is a repeat of the season-opening clash that saw Steven Gerrard’s men leave with the perfect start in a 1-0 win.

Gerrard and his staff will be considering numerous changes for this one, with some injury worries to contend with ahead of Sunday’s game.

The one constant in the side is Allan McGregor.

After his heroics in the Old Firm, that won’t change and the Scottish veteran will continue in-between the sticks.

We do expect one change in the defence, though.

James Tavernier, Conor Goldson and Borna Barisic will line up in the traditional back-four, but Filip Helander should return to cope with the physicality of the Dons.

Gerrard admitted that he prefers to use Leon Balogun against sides with buckets of pace, something we haven’t seen from Aberdeen this season.

With Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield still out injured, there won’t be any reason to disrupt the partnership of Steven Davis and Glen Kamara.

Kemar Roofe picked up an injury worry in the Old Firm game, and we expect him to be rested with that problem, with Ianis Hagi to come back in after his shining cameo in the second half.

Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent will also continue, meaning that Alfredo Morelos will be handed more responsibility to lead the line by himself.

This will hopefully unleash the Colombian back into the limelight, something which could also kickstart his season in terms of his goals.
