‘Too good for Scottish football’ – These Rangers & St Mirren fans wowed by Gers ace in 2-0 win
Rangers kept up their unbeaten run in the Premiership on Wednesday with a 2-0 win over St Mirren.
The win leaves them 16 points ahead of Celtic with the Old Firm clash at Ibrox next up.
There were plenty of candidates for man of the match against St Mirren, with Kemar Roofe getting the opening goal of the game and Alfredo Morelos delivering a massive boost to the club with the second.
Incredibly, that was his first goal in the league since September – what price he bags his first goal against Celtic now?
But, for us, Joe Aribo was the star man. We thought he absolutely bossed the game in the middle of the park, and plenty of Rangers fans were of the same mindset.
He pulled the strings in the middle and his incisive passing threatened to rip St Mirren apart and unleash the array of talent in front of him.
We think that Aribo has to start in the Old Firm clash now and Gerrard will have plenty of decisions to make with our players in such irresistible form.
Here are the best reactions from Rangers fans to Aribo’s performance…
And one St Mirren fan summed up this Rangers squad when he said that “Aribo, Helander and Barisic are too good for Scottish football.”
He missed a few players out from that list in our opinion but we can’t argue with what he said.
