Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos returned to the starting XI with a bang against St. Mirren on Wednesday afternoon.
The Colombian replaced Ryan Kent in the front three and repaid the faith shown in him by Steven Gerrard in the perfect manner.
This was his first start since completing his two-match ban after the SFA charge, and the determination in his game was easy to see.
Morelos found the back of the net in the first half, and the smile instantly returned to his face from ear-to-ear.
It was handed to him from the St. Mirren defence after a poor backpass was intercepted and finished absolutely perfectly.
This is what we have been praying to see for weeks, with his usual composure in front of goal lacking for the entire season.
It was a much quieter second-half for Morelos, but Gerrard did make a tactical change switching from his usual front-three to a more balanced formation.
Many Rangers fans have showered praise on Morelos for the impact he has had on Wednesday, with his goal the icing on the cake.
The majority also pointed out that this is perfect timing for El Buffalo, who is returning to form with the Old Firm clash against Celtic around the corner.
