‘All on Celtic’ – Mark Hateley makes Old Firm claim as Rangers win again

Mark Hateley has claimed that all of the pressure is on Celtic as Rangers picked up yet another three points on Saturday.

Some have claimed that Celtic have no pressure on themselves anymore, after falling so far behind the Bears, with some suggesting it is all on Steven Gerrard.

Rangers are currently 16 points ahead of their fierce rivals, who also have three games in hand, with the next Old Firm clash only a week away.

Speaking on Ten10 Podcasts after the Hibernian victory, Hateley and Alex Rae claimed that the Light Blues are replicating famous seasons from the past.

“Best start since 2008, we were league champions,” he said.

When quizzed on who will be feeling the pressure, Hateley claimed it isn’t just on the pitch where the Hoops will be struggling.

“It’s all on Celtic, Celtic manager, Celtic team, Celtic board – the pressure is on.”

John Hartson claimed on Saturday that the pressure is heavily on Rangers to prove that they can handle the heat now they are clear favourites.

Next week will be the perfect time to answer those claims though, with Celtic the next team to arrive at Ibrox.

Three points in that game would surely all-but-seal the title, and it would certainly keep them quiet after they think they are hitting top form.

We wouldn’t call a win over Hamilton and scraping past Hearts on penalties amazing, and it would be the perfect time for the Gers to silence them next week.
