'Great early Christmas present', Beautiful' – Some Rangers fans thrilled by official club update

With Ryan Jack finally returning from injury to bolster the squad ahead of a packed Christmas schedule, Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight.
Holding a 16 point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership and through to the knockout stages of the Europa League, the Gers have already placed themselves in an unenviable position this season, but the prospect of the influential Jack coming back into the side is exciting fans even further.
Jack has been sidelined since November 22 when he sustained a knee injury against his former club Aberdeen. He has missed eight games since that 4-0 win, including the key Europa League games against Benfica and Lech Poznan.
But Assistant manager Gary McAllister delivered some positive news on Tuesday, telling the club, “Ryan Jack has had a couple days training which is a big boost, we are hopeful he makes the squad for Boxing Day against Hibs.”
One fan said Jack was an “underrated player who forms part of our spine” while another called it a “great Christmas present”.
In his absence the likes of Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield have played starring roles in the Rangers midfield.
However, despite the impressive displays of his teammates, who have kept up their unbeaten Scottish Premiership record, fans will be desperate for Jack to get back on the field as soon as possible.
It will also give manager Steven Gerrard the chance to further rotate his squad and gauge his best starting 11 before the crunch Ibrox clash against Celtic on January 2 2021.
Jack will be hoping he can do enough to force his way into the side before the rivals face off, and he has history in the fixture, after scoring the solitary goal in a 1-0 win in December 2018.
Here are some of the excited tweets from Rangers fans following the update:
