‘Phenomenal’ – Derek Ferguson shares verdict on Rangers finishing season unbeaten

Derek Ferguson has claimed that Rangers have what it takes to finish the Scottish Premiership season as invincibles.

The Bears are currently unbeaten in all competitions, and currently hold a 13 point gap to their nearest rivals Celtic.

Ferguson claimed that there is no reason why Rangers can’t continue their 27-game unbeaten streak and finish without a single loss in the league.

Speaking on the Blues Brothers podcast, Ferguson claimed it will take a “special performance” for anyone to beat the Bears this season.

“It’s just phenomenal,” he said.

“I mean 27 games unbeaten, that’s so difficult in itself. I think alot out people out of Rangers are waiting for the bubble to burst.

“You’re talking about the invincibles, why not? The way they are motivated, not just for the manager, within that dressing room, within that team spirit, it’s going to take a special performance to turn Rangers around.”

Steven Gerrard has formed a different mentality this season at Ibrox, and this one game at a time stance is clearly working unbelievably.

It would have been easy for the Gers to collapse after conceding an equaliser at Dundee, and they may have done that last season, but they stuck to the task and found the winner.

Andy Halliday has questioned whether or not Rangers can beat Celtic’s 69-game record, claiming it can’t be done – challenge accepted.

The Bears are taking one thing at a time, and the main goal is to bring home silverware, and if they get their unbeaten, even better.
