‘Outstanding’, ‘Unreal’ – These Rangers fans in awe of ‘massive’ player v Dundee Utd
Another win for Rangers on Sunday and another big step towards number 55, and it was two of the most consistent performers this season who got the goals against Dundee United.
James Tavernier (who else) got the first goal in the 26th minute before assisting Connor Goldson just before half-time for the winner.
Goldson has been absolutely immense this season. He was solid at Tannadice and his headed goal proved to be all-important in securing the three points in a tight game.
It keeps the gap at the top of the table to 13 points and it’s still worth remembering that Celtic have two games in hand. They’ve won their last two and it’s crucial that Rangers keep on winning.
Goldson is playing a huge part this season.
He’s the leader at the back and helped organise the line in the final quarter of the game on Sunday.
He’s also a constant threat at set-pieces and helping out with the goals when the front line doesn’t get them.
Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos weren’t at it on Sunday and that’s when Rangers have options, with so many goals coming from defence.
Goldson was immense on Sunday and plenty of Rangers fans were delighted with what they saw from the big man.
Here are the best reactions to his match-winning display…
