Steven Gerrard has made two changes to the Rangers team that beat Standard Liege in midweek for his side’s trip to Ross County.

Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo replace Borna Barisic and Scott Arfield with both of the players who started in midweek dropping to the bench.

Confirmed on their Twitter account prior to kick-off, the majority of the players who started against Liege retain their places as Gerrard looks to extend the Gers’ unbeaten run.

Arfield is given a well-earned rest after his heroics on Thursday and Aribo comes in as a like for like replacement in the midfield.

It is a similar story at left-back as Bassey is deployed in his preferred role after being played as a centre half in Rangers’ Scottish League Cup win against Falkirk last weekend.

Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe continue to lead the line for the Gers while the defensive partnership of Connor Goldson and Leon Balogun also continues.

James Tavernier will be looking to continue his goalscoring form and score against the Staggies for the second time this season.

Rangers

Ryan Jack continues to recover from his knock as he fails to make the matchday squad.

Rangers will look to cap a perfect week with a league win after coming from behind to beat Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday.

A win against the Staggies would put all the pressure on Celtic ahead of their clash against St Johnstone later today.

The Gers have already beaten Ross County at Ibrox this season and fans will be hoping for a repeat performance this afternoon.

In other Rangers news, Steven Gerrard has made a prediction ahead of the January transfer window.
