Ibrox View: Gerrard to bench frustrated 24y/o in 6 changes – Rangers predicted XI v Ross County
Rangers face Ross County at the Global Energy Stadium on Sunday in the Scottish Premiership, bidding for their eighth consecutive league win.
The Gers currently have an 11-point advantage at the top of table, although Celtic do have two games in hand on their Old Firm Rivals.
Ross County sit ninth in the standings after 15 matches, with Rangers coming out on top with a 2-0 win when the sides met at Ibrox in October.
With the games stacking up Steven Gerrard has a number of selection decisions to make and could decide to ring the changes.
Jon McLaughlin is one player that could come in for 38-year-old goalkeeper Allan McGregor. The veteran has been very steady this season, but Gerrard has liked to rotate his keepers when possible.
In defence, expect James Tavernier and Borna Barisic to start in the full-back positions once again. However, Connor Goldson could be in line for a rest after he struggled against Standard Liege. The 27-year-old has started every league game this season and looked a little tired on Thursday.
Instead, Calvin Bassey could get a go at centre-back after impressing in the role against Falkirk, partnering Leon Balogun, with Filip Helander still absent.
In midfield, Steven Davis should come out of the midfield after his exploits in mid-week, while Bongani Zungu and Joe Aribo could come in. Ryan Jack is unlikely to be available, so Ianis Hagi could start as the most advanced midfielder, with Scott Arfield and Glen Kamara both deserving a rest after a big shift in the Europa League.
In the front three, expect Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe to continue as the wide men, with Jermain Defoe being given a start as the central striker at the expense of Alfredo Morelos.
He cut a frustrated figure against Standard Liege and can sit this one out.
