Plenty of Rangers fans have warned the club and its supporters against becoming complacent in the Scottish Premiership title race.
The Gers currently hold an 11-point lead over their Old Firm rivals Celtic, but the Hoops have two games in hand, which could see the gap narrow to just five points.
While still in the title race last season Steven Gerrard’s side endured a really tough run of form in the new year, losing three times in the league before it was stopped due to COVID-19 in March (via World Football).
Rangers certainly strengthened their squad over the summer and look better in attack and defence so far this season.
The Gers have conceded just three goals in the league so far this season, with an average of just 0.61 expected goals against per game, while they have scored a league-best 41 goals (via FootyStats).
Furthermore, Gerrard cleverly integrated his summer signings into the squad, with Kemar Roofe, Calvin Bassey and Leon Balogun all playing more significant roles in recent weeks.
However, some fans remain cautious and have sought to warn other supporters from becoming complacent given the number of matches that still need to be played.
One said that all the team can do is keep winning, while another said that some fans were celebrating as if the Gers had already won the league.
Here are some of the best comments on Twitter.
Let’s be honest here, they’re only 5 points behind us, that’s nothing over course of a season with 3 Old Firm games still up for grabs. People talking about 55 need to reign it in. Good watching them struggle don’t get me wrong but canny get carried away yet.

Worth remembering Alex McLeish only won 2/9 games early in 2004/05 season and went on to win the league.
One slip up form us and they are back in it. https://t.co/PpgXzz0VIA

At least we don't go to dubai this year and come back a different outfit all we can do is keep winning

Agreed, plus we play before then in every game between now and the derby in January. Great chance to put them under more pressure. I’m sure the players are well aware of this given slips in previous few years

We need to ignore them and keep winning our league games.
Can’t afford to get carried away as it will cost us.Stevie says we need to stay humble.

Exactly. It does my nut in people celebrating like we've won the league.
