‘Be wary of that’ – Ferguson fires Gers warning over Ross County & makes prediction

Derek Ferguson has fired a warning to Rangers ahead of their trip to Ross County on Sunday afternoon in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bears welcome Standard Liege to Ibrox on Thursday before making the long trip north to Victoria Park on Sunday afternoon.

After beating Celtic in the Scottish League Cup over the weekend, County will be looking to make it an Old Firm double in the space of seven days.

Speaking on the Blues Brothers podcast, Ferguson warned the Gers but predicted that they would have enough to get through that test with three points.

“I watched his team against Kilmarnock, they played against 10-men and they were pretty poor,” he said.

“He gave them a bit of a rocket after the game and they responded to that, so Rangers have got to be wary of that. They’re coming off a cracking result, but have we got enough to take them? I think so.”

Of course, Ross County will be soaring with confidence right now, but is beating Celtic that much of a challenge at this moment?

Rangers are the new team to beat in Scotland, and their unbeaten record in all competitions prove that we are a much tougher proposition.

Steven Gerrard has got his side winning with ease in every competition, but he will have his eyes firmly set on the Liege clash first.

The likes of Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe should return after they were rested against Falkirk, with Jermain Defoe potentially leading the line at Ross County.

Squad depth has been critical to this success, and we believe that puts the Bears in pole position against many – especially Ross County.
