Pictured: Rangers ace doubtful v Falkirk returns to full training
Rangers midfielder Bongani Zungu has returned to full training ahead of the Scottish League Cup clash against Falkirk.
The South African missed out against Benfica on Thursday, as the Bears fell to a 2-2 draw despite leading at Ibrox.
Zungu has suffered with injuries throughout his career, and Gary McAllister admitted that he was doubtful for the Falkirk clash.
Despite those doubts, Zungu shared a great update on Friday.
Sharing pictures on his personal Twitter account, the midfielder revealed that he was back in full training ahead of the trip.
Zungu has formed a great friendship with Jermain Defoe, but interestingly, Jordan Jones was also pictured smiling and laughing.
McAllister confirmed that Jones and George Edmundson had returned to the squad bubble despite their seven-game bans being in place until the end of December.
Steven Gerrard will be delighted with this update.
Zungu will be itching to get out and start in midfield against Falkirk, and he has a great chance of that this weekend.
Ryan Jack and Joe Aribo are confirmed absentees for the clash, meaning that his competition has shrunk for this tie.
The 28-year-old has yet to start a game yet, and his only cameo came off the bench against Hamilton – completing 77% of his actions and four recoveries according to WyScout.
Zungu looks fit and ready, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him starting against Falkirk.
