Rangers fans have long had to put up with some elite-grade trolling from Celtic-mad Chris Sutton but it looks like he’s finally had enough.

Despite going into the Europa League game against Sparta Prague as favourites, Celtic were humbled again losing 4-1 – the exact same score as the reverse fixture at Parkhead.

It leaves Celtic bottom of their group, without a win, and out of the competition with two games left to go.

After praising Odsonne Edouard’s opening goal it quickly went downhill for Sutton on Thursday night.

Following the game, that saw Celtic lose 8-2 to Sparta Prague over two games, Sutton said that he thought Neil Lennon’s job would now be under threat.

Talking after the game, Lennon said he’s still the man for the job and that the team was just missing a “bit of unity”. Now that’s an optimistic take.

Funnily, there are lots of Rangers fans who don’t want to see Lennon go.

One replied to Sutton saying, “Have a word with Lennon and tell him we all support him.”

Other Rangers fans were quick to react to the latest humiliation for Celtic with one saying, “Lack of heart and fight and desire. They’re not playing for the manager. Plain to see… No shape or selfless work. Laughable stuff…”

That’s in direct contrast to the Rangers team at the moment and Steven Gerrard’s men continued their unbeaten record this season and took a big step closer to the Group Stage with a 2-2 draw against Benfica at Ibrox.

It should have been better after going 2-0 up but it was always going to be a dangerous match.

Top of the Premiership, top of the Europa group… And, compared to what’s going on across the city, things couldn’t be much better for Rangers at the moment.
