These Rangers fans rave about ‘Magical’ player v Aberdeen: ‘Sensational’, ‘At his best’

Plenty of Rangers fans were impressed with Ryan Kent in the Gers 4-0 win over Aberdeen at Ibrox on Sunday.

The Gers were dominant throughout, with goals from Kent, Kemar Roofe, Scott Arfield and James Tavernier sealing the win.

Kent opened the scoring in style with a 25-yard stunner, which came after a cheeky nutmeg in midfield. He then laid on the assist for Arfield to make it 3-0 and was a thorn in the side of the Dons defence throughout.

Playing alongside Alfredo Morelos and Roofe in a front three, they meshed nicely and looked incredibly dangerous.

Kent will have been delighted to score again, having not hit the target in the league for the Gers since September (via WhoScored). Against the Dons he took three shots, and completed two dribbles and three key passes (via WhoScored). Starting from the left he drifted inside regularly and linked up nicely with Roofe and Morelos, causing Derek McInnes’ defence plenty of issues.

He also got through plenty of defensive work, making one tackle and completing two interceptions. Pressing Aberdeen aggressively, they struggled to get out and retain possession, with the Gers enjoying 71% of the ball and the Dons completing just 71% of their passes (via WhoScored). If Rangers are to win against Benfica on Thursday Kent will need to play well and this should prove a great springboard for the winger.

Reacting his display on Twitter, plenty of fans were very impressed, with one describing the former Liverpool as “magical” and another claiming that his link up with Morelos and Roofe made for a “scary” front three.

Here are some of the best reactions to a top quality display.
