‘Make me cry’, ‘Haunted his career’ – Many Rangers fans devastated with injury update
Rangers have nearly seen all of their players arrive back in Glasgow with no huge concerns after the international break.
Ryan Jack played some gruelling minutes for Scotland in a crucial week and returned in good condition – the same that can’t be said for Bongani Zungu.
The South African international has suffered a slight knock to his knee, and could be forced to miss the game with Aberdeen.
Steven Gerrard released the information in his Friday press-match conference ahead of this weekend’s clash at Ibrox.
The Bears boss admitted that it was mostly good news he has heard on the phone, but that Zungu will be assessed this weekend beforehand.
“We are still assessing individuals as it is first-day back for some. What we have heard on the phone is the majority are fine, Zungu has a knock on his knee which we will assess today,” he said.
Zungu, himself, has already posted on his personal Twitter account this week showing his delight to have returned to Scotland.
The midfielder in that post didn’t sound as though he was waiting on important news that could keep him out of the action against Aberdeen.
Many Rangers fans have reacted to this latest update, with the majority crossing their fingers that it doesn’t sound too serious.
Some did go down the road of doom and gloom, with one even claiming that he could cry should Zungu be ruled out for the long-term.
