Ibrox View: 92% passing accuracy – 25y/o Rangers star shines on int’l duty
Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara impressed for Finland as he helped his country to a 2-1 over Bulgaria in the UEFA Nations League.
Kamara has been in sparkling form this season and he has been a regular presence in the midfield for club and country.
Teamtalk recently linked the 25-year-old with a move away from Ibrox in January and his performance against Bulgaria will have Premier League scouts writing positive reports about the Gers man.
Kamara’s stats against Bulgaria really emphasise how good his performance was.
According to Wyscout, the midfielder registered a passing accuracy of 92% and a long passing accuracy of 100% meaning he almost always found his target with his passes. His average passing accuracy for the season is 90% which is impressive but he performed better than that on Sunday.
86% of Kamara’s forward passes found their target as he played a large role in starting attacking moves for Finland. He’s used to doing this for Rangers so it’s no surprise to see him performing well for his country.
The 25-year-old also registered a successful dribble rate of 100% which shows how good he is at bringing the ball forward and linking the defence to the attack.
Overall, 73% of Kamara’s total attempted actions were successful meaning three-quarters of everything he attempted went to plan.
He even chipped in defensively. Kamara won 75% of his defensive duels and both of the slide tackles he attempted resulted in him winning the ball.
It really was the complete performance from the Rangers midfielder. He has barely put a foot wrong this season and he will be vital in the Gers’ attempts to bring silverware back to Ibrox.
If he maintains this form for his club then he could well end up being in with a shout for the player of the season award at the end of the year.
