‘Excellent’, ‘Wind his neck in’ – Many Gers fans react to contract report on ‘Great talent’
Rangers have once again opened contract talks with promising youngster Kai Kennedy, according to Glasgow Live.
The report claims that “positive discussions” are ongoing with the 18-year-old, who has caused a stir at Ibrox in the past.
The promising winger is currently out on loan at Inverness CT, and his current deal is set to run out at the end of this season.
Kennedy saw contract talks in Glasgow break down over a dispute on his playing time earlier in the year, although that appears to have been settled.
Steven Gerrard is said to be a big fan of the winger and would love to secure his future at Ibrox past this season.
It isn’t just the Bears who are big fans though, with Bayern Munich and Manchester City said to be have been tracking his progress.
The Daily Record claimed earlier in the year that those two European giants were on high alert when he potentially came available.
Many Rangers fans have reacted to his latest news, with the majority claiming that it is excellent news that they could keep hold of one of their brightest talents.
Some did point out that the 18-year-old needs to avoid making trouble despite not breaking through yet in Glasgow.
If that small issue can be ironed out by Gerrard and his coaching staff, it appears that the Gers have a real player on their hands.
