‘Boom’, ‘So much talent’ – Many Rangers fans thrilled as footage emerges of star from int’l duty

Rangers fans have been thrilled by footage from the Romania Under-21 training camp over the weekend.

Under-21 manager Adrian Mutu is conducting a free-kick masterclass and Rangers ace Ianis Hagi picks the tips up quickly, firing the ball into the top corner of the net with both feet.

The footage was posted on Twitter by Romanian journalist Emanuel Rosu.

Hagi has been criticised by Gers fans this season for inconsistent performances and it’s seen him struggle for starts in recent weeks.

He’s only scored one goal in 16 appearances across all competitions but he has chipped in with eight assists.

And his patchy form has seen him drop down to the Romania Under-21s.

Mutu admitted last week that Hagi has lost his confidence.

Talking in the Scottish Sun he said, “Ianis’ confidence has been affected and he has not been starting so much for Rangers in the past few weeks either.

“I will speak to him and I am sure playing for the 21s again will give his confidence a big boost.

“I know exactly what Ianis is capable of and for me to have him in my squad is a good thing. He will be able to help the rest of the players enormously.”

Gers fans know that Hagi has got talent and we’re sure that he’s going to find his way out of the form he’s found himself in.

One fan summed it up perfectly when he said, “Right fit left fit boy has got so much talent but there is just something missing just now. Only going to get better and better”

We certainly wouldn’t mind seeing him bring his free-kick technique back to Ibrox.
